PPPK Reminds Public Accountants to Extend Permits

Jakarta 05/05/2021 PPPK. Since the enactment of Law Number 5 of 2011 concerning Public Accountants, the Public Accountant’s license is limited to a validity period of 5 (five) years and can be extended. The year 2021 is the second license renewal period for Public Accountants who have re-registered at the time this Law comes into effect and Public Accountants whose licenses were issued in 2016.

Regarding the above, the Head of the Center for Financial Professional Development, Firmansyah N. Nazaroedin reminded the Public Accountant to extend the permit no later than 180 (one hundred and eighty) days and no later than 60 (sixty) days before the expiration date of the permit.

The obligation to extend this Public Accountant license is in accordance with Article 8 of Law Number 5 of 2011 concerning Public Accountants and Article 7 of the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 154/PMK.1/2017 concerning the Guidance and Supervision of Public Accountants.

The application for the extension of the Public Accountant License is submitted online through the Financial Professional Licensing Service application called e-Layanan One Roof Professional Finance (abbreviated as eLSa-PK) which can be accessed through the http://elsa-pk.kemenkeu.go.id page. The digitization of this service makes submitting an application for an extension of a Public Accountant license easier and faster.

Firmansyah N. Nazaroedin expects the Public Accountant to extend the permit in a timely manner in order to continue to provide services and avoid being penalized for delays. The Public Accountant will be subject to a fine of IDR 1,000,000.00 if the extension of the Public Accountant license is submitted less than 60 (sixty) days before the license expires.
